Carcassonne Port

The port of Carcassonne, alongside the main railway station and just a short walk from the main town. If you wish to visit "La Cité", you will find a taxi a good idea!
I would also recommend a fairly early start finishing with lunch in walled fortress, since it gets very busy in the afternoon. For the return to your boat a stroll across the river Aude then through Bastide St Louis is virtually all downhill and picturesque.
