the house this terraced house, in a quiet street on the edge of the village, is the owner's home during the winter, and is therefore furnished to a higher than usual standard for holiday accommodation.

from the kitchen a door leads onto a secluded, west facing, roof terrace which overlooks the village and surrounding countryside. it is equipped with bar-b-q and garden furniture and is a super place to catch the last of the sun and relax in the warmth of the evening.

the village a quaint village of 940 inhabitants, there is a café/bar, boulangerie, general store, post office and a doctor's office.
roaming market traders visit the square with other produce on a regular basis.
within easy walking distance from the house and still within the village are tennis courts, a bouledrome and a football/rugby pitch.
the river Aude skirts the village to the south and the famous canal du midi to the north.
both are good for fishing and boat hire is available on the canal.
the village is surrounded by vineyards and orchards and there are lots of walks.
the area situated on the plain between the Mediterranean sea, (26kms/16miles), with its fine sandy beaches and chic marinas, and the Minervois hills, which are covered in vineyards and olive groves, the village is a peaceful haven in today's busy world.
the whole area has many historic sites dating to roman times, traces can still be found in the towns of nearby Narbonne and Béziers.
the Cathar cities of Minerve and Carcassonne hold their own secrets, something for everyone to discover!
the locals are friendly and food and wine are good and inexpensive.
