Les Onglous Phare, the lighthouse at the entrance to the Midi Canal from the Étang de Thau

A welcome sight after a somewhat "choppy" crossing of the Étang de Thau, Les Onglous Phare, the lighthouse at the entrance to the Midi Canal from the Étang de Thau, the real start of the Midi Canal. The Étang de Thau is an inland saltwater lake joining the Midi Canal from Agde to the port of Sète, there are several towns with ports around the inland edge of the lake and most specialise in shellfish from the Étang.
